Description:
When working with an individual we are connecting with, communicating with, and influencing their tissues. Few however have an understanding of what it is they are actually influencing and how.
A strong knowledge of the tissue level of organization of the body is valuable as it provides a more refined means of directing intent, visualizing what is being palpated, understanding injury repair, and working with the body.
This class teaches the basic characteristics of the body's tissues; how they develop, behave, and heal. The anatomy and physiology of the 4 types of tissue are explored and clinical applications are put into context.
Prerequisites: Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent
